Wow!!!!! This book not only talks about the realness how child abuse but it also leaves you thinking like anybody could be a vituim of child abuse and we not even know it. The book was great. From a 1 to 10 its a 20 for real. Its a must read!!

Once I started reading "What Really Happened To Me" I couldn't put this book down. I wanted to know more after reading each page. Usually I would put a book down and come back to it, but this one was enthralling with drama and suspense. There were times when I was angry, sad and happy throughout. It was also an easy read for me. I have to say that I was disappointed once I got to the end of the book; not because it wasn't a good book...but because I just wanted more. Ms. Mea Fuentez if you would consider writing another book in regards to this book (a sequel); I will definitely buy it! I can't believe one young person could go through so much! And that mother!

Mea Fuentez has the gift of recapturing some of the most hurtful moments of her life while still creating a partially fictional narrative. This novel is a page-turner that leaves the reader to ponder which events actually took place and which events are fictional. It is definitely a hard story to put down. The author, through her expression and artistry, allows the reader an opportunity to temporarily step inside the life of an abused child and feel the hurt, pain and other mixed emotions that lie inside of a little person who is experiencing these demoralizing situations and facing abuse (whether it is mental, emotional, physical or sexual).

This story illuminates the reality of abuse and allows the reader to be exposed to life experiences that may differ from his/her own. A message of hope is delivered through this novel that encourages the reader to remember that life's trials can produce triumphs!

I really enjoyed the story "What Happened to me" and found myself cheering for Mea's victories and crying in her set backs...

This book not only dealt with the physical abuse but also on emotional abuse that is sometimes ignored. Thank you for bringing light to situations that are often kept in the closet.
